Scholarship
Mastery of Subject matter is essential for strong leadership in our modern world. Unless a student can be learn to apply himself effectively through mental discipline, he is not likely to become an outstanding leader in his chosen field
Leadership
Individuals must aspire to high ideals of leadership–a quality that can be cultivated and developed. It comes from the application of acquired knowledge, from desire to accomplish, from the will to do, from the understanding of human nature, and from a personality to influence and lead others.
Character
Integrity is essential for effective leadership and service. Too frequently, individuals insist upon their rights, privileges, and liberties without consistently emphasizing their responsibilities to society through ideals designed to improve our society. Good character includes those elements of personal makeup that among other things make one honest, fair, faithful, loyal and dependable.
Fellowship
Records of individual failures are due not to incompetence, but to inability to get along with others. We encouraged the development of friendliness and fellowship.

Alpha Zeta wants to bring into play those finer attributes of human character to enable us to think objectively, tolerate views of others, and approach each problem with the broad-mindedness which is characteristic of an educated leader; acquiring a unity of purpose leading to unity of action.
